gloomy day in northern Japan, but still a decent amount of flying activity from the 35th Fighter Wing

First one out the blocks on a miserable morning was this F-16C Wild Weasel from the 35th Fighter Wing.

Misawa Air Base has a great viewing deck and often you can see pilots dipping a wingtip on the way out.

P-8 Poseidon taking off to keep an eye on the northern part of Japan. Often referred to as Flanker Bait.

Japan has the best Chinooks, full stop! I love it how they put such an intricate camp paint job on them, and it blends in with the local surroundings.

Misawa’s 35th Fighter Wing has a lot of F-16’s. if you’re a Viper fan it’s worth the trip.

Caught this one slightly too late, but a two-tone E-2 Hawkeye is a rare catch.
