Kadena, Okinawa May 2024

as the weather in Korea wasn’t great on the second half of my stay, I diverted to Okinawa. Kadena is my favourite place to visit with great variety and there’s always something going on. A must visit.

US Air Force C-130 Super Hercules coming in from her home base at Iwakuni Japan.

F-22 Raptor from Hickam, Hawaii, departing in a rush.

US Air Force Air National Guard F-16 from Duluth departing with full afterburner.

One of my favourites, the E-3 Sentry “AWACS” taking off from Kaduna on a beautiful morning. This one is stationed at Tinker, Oklahoma

Canadian Air Force CP-140 Aurora (or P-3 Orion to most), landing after a 9-hour sortie just before sunset.

F-22 Raptor landing in beautiful weather over the beach at Okinawa. This one is from the First Fighter Wing “FF” from Langley, Virginia.

Duluth F-16 Viper in Have Glass V paint landing after a two hour sortie.

MQ-9 Reaper leaving in the late afternoon for their usual overnight mission. This one carrying an extra fuel tank for extended range.
